Yesterday I found myself grumbling about another Windows update and I had to chuckle at how exiciting updates are for AmigaOS and Amiga software vs other platforms.

Windows updates are generally viewed with dread. Linux is mostly neutral I guess. I'm not familiar with Mac one way or the other.

What other platform can you still get so excited about a bunch of bug fixes?

It's nice to enjoy the small things sometimes.

Windows updates are often preceded by several days of dread, because there's some big flaw being fixed. Print Spooler anyone?

On the Amiga I'm sometimes pleasantly surprised by an update, then realise it was released 10+ years ago...

Lately it feels like we only get an update once every 10 years depending on your version of AmigaOS. ;)

I suppose these days any progress at all is good progress.

amiga os old style is dead, but amiga programs could be ported to x11, lets start with x11 version of MUI !!!!

when this is ported all amiga MUI programs would be more simple to port to linux

like opensource msdos ?, or even now chrome is gone into microsoft store ?

    in gentoo : emerge www-client/microsoft-edge-beta
