I got an old nodelist from a new node (Conny Enstrom), who rescued
the contents of his old Amiga harddisk from back in the day:
;A AmigaNet Nodelist for Friday, December 29, 1995 -- Day number 363
: 49616
This was when FTN was booming. There are 1643 lines in this file so
probably more then 1500 systems, and AmigaNet still had 3 Zones at
that time.
What a walk down memory lane!
The areas concerned are HARD_AMY, NEWS_AMY, SOFT_AMY, and a couple ofSwedish areas, of which I can hardly understand a word
of. ;-)
Anyone else who has some old harddisks laying around!? ;-)

Yes. Kind-of ;-)
When I sold my A1200, I imaged the HD so it is preserved and usable with the usual suite of Amiga emulators. This includes a snapshot of my view
FidoNet at the time, via MailManager.
Not a huge number of messages, but definitely a view into different times!
