Title: Navy Bean And Ham Soup

16 oz Pkg dried navy beans; soaked
-overnight; drained, and
-rinsed
4 c Water
2 c Reduced-sodium vegetable
-broth
1 sm Yellow onion; chopped
2 Carrots; peeled & chopped
3 Celery ribs; chopped
1 cl Garlic; minced
1 Bay leaf
1/2 ts Black pepper
1 lg Meaty roasted ham bone
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Total time: 6 hours 15 minutes
Place beans, water, broth, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, bay leaf,
and pepper in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker; stir to combine. Place ham
bone in center of mixture. Cover and cook on HIGH 6 hours or LOW 8 to
10 hours until beans are tender. Remove ham bone and any gristle.
Return any ham meat to soup.
