MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: Sourdough Date Spice Drops

Yield: 1 Batch

2 c Flour
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 c White sugar
2 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Nutmeg
1/2 ts Ground cloves
1 1/2 c Chopped dates
2 Eggs; well beaten
1 c Sourdough; up to 1 1/2 cups
1 c Crisco; room temperature

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar and spices together in
mixing bowl. Mix in Crisco with fingertips. Add chopped dates and mix
in well. Stir in beaten eggs and sourdough to make a fairly firm
batter. Grease cookie pans well. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto pan.
Bake in 375-400 degree F oven about 15 minutes, until golden. These
freeze well.
