    Title: Spicy Apple Curry
    Categories: Indian, Vegetarian
    Yield: 4 servings

    2 tb Oil
    1/2 ts Cumin seeds
    1/2 ts Mustard seeds
    1/2 ts Turmeric powder
    1 pn Asafetida
4 md Granny Smith apples; cut
    -into long slices
    1 ts Salt
2 Green chiles; slit into long
    -slices
    1 ts Dry mango powder
    1/2 ts Red chili powder
    1/2 ts Garam masala
    1 ts Sugar

Heat oil in pan over medium-high heat. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds,
turmeric, and asafetida. When cumin seeds start to pop, add apple
slices, salt, and green chiles. Stir and reduce heat to medium. Cook
covered for 8-10 minutes stirring occassionally. Add dry mango
powder, chili powder, garam masala, and sugar. Stir and turn heat off.

    Recipe Adaptation:

I use serrano peppers for the green chiles. I use other varieties of
apples as they are available, but select ones that are a little on
the green side. The recipe also tastes fine without the asafetida and
    sugar.

Ben, Lee is a pretty recent person here who comes in just to stir trouble.

David Drum has an old MealMaster database. Much ofthe recipes he downloaded from a web site he lists (may no longer exist). That's what his'archives' mean. Most of mine come from a long defunct Gemini site and some show it on posting.

That's all it is if wondering.
