Some years ago I use to take all my "junk" and put them in boxes. I
had boxes up to the ceiling in my old office. When my company finally decided to go "open office floorplan" (which is the worst thing ever),
my wife and daughters came to my office and helped me shred, trash, and dispose of everything. It took six hours. Never again.
Gosh.. I so much love being paperless.
I don't print unless some party forces me to do so, which is only applicable to documents, usually still required to be physically signed,shared or posted.
I don't do notes in paper, I use tablet for it. Same for newspapers and books that support my professional growth.
I only buy fiction/novels to enhance my library, that's the only pile of paper that keeps growing at my home.
The only other exception is for some collectibles (comic books, rpg books, some special magazines I feel sentiment for).
They are very carefully managed to be accessible and also look like proud collection.
All rest is digital but that doesn't help my desk to be clean with all the NAS, routers, monitors, cables and 2 PC laptops and one All in One iMac in the center.
Not even mentioning about all new micros and FPGA computers that occasionally land there too.
