There were actually two of them, but I only had the mind to try
and film something when the 1st one had already walked by.

Hahahaha that is great.
We have foxes and boars but they don't want to be filmed.
i used to have a wild turkey in my yard all the time. i
think someone caught him and ate him. he used to fight
people on the street that bothered him. -+-

Ah.. a turkey with character. They are nomadic.. so it probably
found a new place to hang out when the food source dried up - or
it eventually went to seek the company of its own kind. I'd
usually see a bunch of them hanging out together and crossing
the backroads in my area.

In no State. It took place in a Province of Canada. ;)
my neighbor is a cop and he tried to shoot a raccoon that was destroying the roof of his porch. he got in trouble for discharging a firearm in city limi he probably lied and said it attacked him. i saw the raccoon on my cameras this morning. it has a wound on his right hip but walks fine and eats fine.
one time when i was snow blowing he attacked me because i^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
was all bundled up. i had to take off my mask and hood and
he recognized me and stopped.

I thought you were in NY. I have a friend that lives in
Saratoga that has a cam in his back yard. He has all kinds
of critters back there. Deer, racoons, fox just to name a
few. ;-)

I wonder why it is cops who are always messing up with guns.
In the local target shooting club, it is always the cop who steal Santa Figurines and use them for target practice in CHristmas, or make illegal modifications in sporting guns and end up blowing their noses up :-(

no, i had been feeding him seeds and he trusted me.
it is kind of scarey being attacked by a turkey because they
do have those 2 inch spurs on their legs and they make
themselves big and they fly right up into you. -+-

OH! That's different. I thought you were being facitious.
Growing up on a farm, we'd feed the chickens and "talk" to them
while doing so. They'd get used to your voice or the sound of
the grain in the bucket.

i have his number so i sent him a pic of the raccoon. i dont think he liked that. i bought him some predator urine.
they're not stupid animals. i'm worried about the one i'm talking about because i havent seen him in a long time and the people around here are shitty. -+-

I've had a recurring problem with skunks living under my house, a year ago, one of them got tracked inside by a raccoon and the skunk later died under my house of its injuries. Worst smell ever.
I've managed it by, instead of throwing my dog's poop in the garbage can after our walk, occasionally I'll leave one where they're coming into the basement area. Keeps them away.

i've never seen a raccoon fight a skunk. usually raccoon just want food and dont have any conflict with any other animals.

Tough little critters, they keep tearing holes in metal screen
foundation vents. I'm going to have to get solid metal vented plates
and get one of those one-way gated vents so I don't trap them
underneath the house. I do NOT want that experience again...
Dream Master wrote to poindexter FORTRAN <=-
I've used mesh bags full of moth balls to keep them out. It usually
works unless they are in "ignore all" mode.
