No I didn't. There's some kind of server problem going on. I can't get a straight answer from the admin so I have no idea if and when it will be back online. Sorry for the trouble. I'll post any updates on reddit.

It shows the nodes waiting for conections, but you can't telnet to them it just fails and doesn't show anything on his server...

what does crashed mean
It died and needed to be restored, but there still seems to be something wrong with the telnet service.... Dont see any attempted connection in the log file.

Which is why I recommend vendors to charge extra fees when
taking purchas over PayPal. I am fine if customers want to
pay over PayPal, but then the are going to cover for the
extra risk they are introducing in the equatio
i dont think paypal allows you to do that, unless they changed it.
They don't allow that, but as far as I am concerned they can shove a
spiked ball up their ###.

I'm starting to use Paypal (PP) more and more like a bank.

paypal is not a bank and they dont want to hold onto your
money. they make money with transactions. they can block
you from your money some day just because someone reported
you. you could have a crazy dude just try to cause shit with
you. it happens to a lot of people -+-

OK.. I'm not using it as a place to accumulate for the purposes
of savings or anything like that for the long term. It's more as
a temp holding place incase I need to access money to pay a
vendor who prefers PP.
Is eTransfer (an Interac-related service) available in your part
of the USA?
I find eTransfer even better. With just a simple encoded email
link, when a person sends me money, it goes straight into my
bank account. No advance passphrases required. And the
transaction cannot be reversed.

oh that's what i was using it for. until a crazy person
reported me and paypal wouldn't talk to me. so i couldnt
access my money.
i could only refund all the people that sent me money.
have fun with that. you might think it won't ever happen
to you but me and other people felt that way too.

That is a totally disgusting. But was the crazy reporting linked
to a buy/sell transaction with another service?
In my case, I am only limiting PP use to just payouts. The
incoming are from people who are paying me direct to PP as a
form to send me payment - that is, there is no online merch
transactions via a 3rd party. However, overall the activity is
quite low to non-existant.
So... the initial transaction was tied to an eBay/amazon-like
service where you were selling some THING?
