I mostly eat fish, eggs, meat and greens. It's not cheap, but it's not

Isn't fish a type of meat? Just wondering why you listed fish separately.

Some people treat it differently when it comes to diet. Like they might
eat fish, and even poultry, but won't eat "meat" meaning red meat or pork.

Really? I've always considered meat to be from any animal, including chicken and pork (not just read meats).. If you consider meat only to
be read meat, then wouldn't chicken and pork be separate?

This idea is really old. You have meat - meaning the flesh of land animals - and fish.

Some religions didn't eat meat on Fridays during certain times of the year.
But fish was OK because it wasn't "meat".

Interesting.. I must not have gotten the memo. I'd never heard the definition of meat as only from land animals.

Yes. Bacon with breakfast, bacon on a deviled egg. Sure.
Pork chop? No. Pork Sausage? No.

    I can't figure it out.

If you were never exposed to people of those religions, you never would have known.

It made no sence to me when I got old enough to think about it. But later on I found that most rules in religions don't make sence.

Candied bacon is pretty good. I believe they just coat it in sugar before frying it. (Ogg would love it!) I've had that but not chocolate bacon.

I know it was trendy for awhile for bars to serve maple bacon as a garnish for a drink such as an Old Fashioned or Bourbon.

I have seen pork chops on the menu at our local diner on the coast. My favorite old-school diner in Oakland used to have "Ham steaks" as a meat option on all of their dishes.

I think the key is a good, buttery sear. A dry slab of ham or pork chop wouldn't cut it.

Another entry in the "No Thanks" column - chicken apple sausage. It's gotta
    be pork.

And, now I'm hungry. I have leftover ground beef from making tacos last
night Cotija cheese and some spanish rice, I'm thinking omelettes.

I love any type of sausage. They're all good... for breakfast, for dinner with mustard. It will be the death of me I'm sure.

Sounds good. Or Egg burritos..... mmmm.

Mexican food is the best. Sometimes I make burritos out of left over chinese food and my wife makes a face. But whats wrong with chicken chow-mein in a tortilla with cheese and salsa?

Not much if you ask me.
