So i was off of work because I had a doctor's appt and afterwards
i gave doordash driving a try.
On my first day I made almost 57 bucks in 2 hrs 20 mins. 6 trips
Dealing with the stores is difficult. They are rude, they do not have orders ready when they say they do.
One time I had to go into a large appt building, take a slow elevator up to the 3rd floor and hand it to them. I had a tip but I'd rather not have done the order.
I kept on getting taken further and further to the west where the driving is more busy and difficult. Traffic was dangerous.
I'd say I dislike mcdonalds the most. They never had the orders ready. A sub store never made the order and I waited 10 mins. Same with a mexican food restaurant.
Later on DD wanted me to pick up items from 2 different locations and I refused those ones which lowered my acceptance rate.
I think 57 bucks for 2 hrs is decent, but they might have been easy on me because it was my first time. It was fun to interact with the customers I met and I enjoyed that. I'm not sure how people can consider this a full time job. I think it would be very hard on the vehicle. Also the likelyhood of you getting in an accident raises.
