Finally got my own! My son has one, my wife has one, now I do too. :-)

Wanted a .40, but found a 9mm at a GREAT price, so now it's my new
    'truck gun.'

I've got one in 9 as well. Held off for the longest time for .40 but never could run across one. Found the 9mm at a discounted price and picked it up. Great for throwing under the seat when in the car/truck/jeep...

Mine is in the back seat in a 'backpack' - so you would look and not
even know there's a gun there...

A backpack is the first thing a thief is gonna reach for...

I meant it looks inconspicuius - doens't look like a laptop bag
or anything, so hopefully no reason to bust the glass... Otherwise
    they aren't getting in...

How insanely clever! Nobody who would break into a vehicle would EVER think of grabbing the backpack!

Somebody once made a laptop case out of a beat-up Coleman cooler with
stickers on it. It made a much less attractive target to thieves.

One of the smaller coolers would be a good fit for a handgun and a couple of magazines.

At least they don't look in and SEE a gun...

Was at a tech meeting a few years ago and a guy had a laptop case that looked like an old beat up dictionary!
