  • Stampede?

    I guess it's that time of year again. Anyone here ever go? I've never been to the Calgary Stampede myself. When I was still quite young we used to take annual trips to Calaway Park while stampede was going on (I guess assuming the crowds would be quieter) and while we were in Calgary we would park somewhere and watch the fireworks which were always great!

    Living in Medicine Hat, I've gone to the Medicine Hat Stampede several times though now that I'm older I'm finding I just don't want to be around that many people at one time. <G>

    Hope everyone is doing well and having a decent summer so far!

    Sounds about right. I've been to the Stampede a few times over my life but its not something I would bother with if I had anything else to do. Usually has people convince me to go lol
    But I also have been one to hit up Calaway during Stampede. Is a better experience during Stampede than Stampede IMHO.

    That is completely reasonable. I suppose I'd go for my kids. If I had to. lol

    I really look forward to taking my kids there, hopefully next summer. And hopefully it lives up to my memories. Well I suppose at this point it's just more about whether or not my kids have fun. HAH!
