Can we talk MorphOS here or is that tantamount to swearing?

Sure! What platform? I have it on a Powerbook and a Mac Mini.

    Hi Ryan,
I've just installed on a Powerbook G4, running well and internet is up, working
as expected, not superfast but usable.
I'm new to all things Amiga, using lockdown to learn and I know it's not the same but the nearest I'm getting at the moment anyway.
I've downloaded DCTelnet but when I try to connect to either my own BBS locally
or remotely or any other BBS it says it can't connect and to check the address
    which is correct.
Is there something else I need to do? Something to do with TCP?

    Cheers

No idea :P I never had much luck with DCTelnet on MorphOS, if memory serves. *shrug* sorry I can't be of more help...

    Hi again,
I've managed to connect to this BBS via DCTelnet of MorphOS, it seems it's the address book that doesn't work in DCT, not the end of the world.
Such a steep learning curve going to MorphOS and not a great deal of information out there, seems to be some love lost out there too but I'm finding
it interesting so I'll stick with it, not that I've a lot of choice after spending cash :)
Oddly I had trouble connecting to my own BBS, it times out before I even get the chance to log in?
    Anyways,take care.

Interesting - if you want to invest in MorphOS long term, I'd suggest
creating an account on http://morph.zone and flagging the DCTelnet issues there. Seems like something people would be interested in figuring out :)

Quick follow up here - I think SyncTERM is SDL, so perhaps it can be ported
    to MorphOS?

I was just thinking the other day how much I would like an android port
of it as well.. there's nothing out there that i would consider usable. fTelnet used to work but it has disappeared from play store. My programming skills are more or less non existant unless c64 basic counts, and I didn't get very far in that past making my own text adventures.
