Hey y'all hope its ok to post here.

I was digging through my grandmothers old recipe book and found a hand-written receip for Banana Bread. Unfortunately, all it has is the ingredients! Anyone have a recipe that might match this? I'm not sure the cook time/temp for this. Here's what I have:

    Banana Bread

    Ingredients
    ------------
    2 1/3 c Flour
    2 1/2 tsp baking powder

    1/2 tsp Cinamon (any flavoring)
    1 c mashed bananas
    1/2 c buttermilk

    1 1/4 c sugar
    2 eggs

First of all, Oleo is the old name for Margarine, I would personally use real butter, you'll get a much better flavor without all the chemicals.

As for baking, I would imagine 350f for probably about 30 minute.

I was wondering ifthat was a flavor of butter. The 1 cup or 1 stick threw me off though because I know 1 stick of butter isn't 1 cup.

    Thanks for the info!

    Frosting
    1/3 c oleo
    3 1/2 c sifted confectiners sugar
    1/4 c milk
    1 tsp flavoring

First - ditch the margarine in favour of butter. Mix all of the bread ingredients until you have a smooth batter then bake @ 350-|F for an
hour and 10 to 15 minutes - or until a knife stabbed into its heart
    comes out clean.

For the icing - trade the margarine for butter (as above) then: In a
large bowl, cream together the butter and vanilla (flavouring. Blend in confectioners' sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in the milk, and continue mixing until light and fluffy.

Keep icing covered until ready to decorate.

I'm allergic to banananananas so I've never mead banana bread. But the
timing and temperature I gave above is typical for quick breads like
    this.
