• Local Login to BBS

From Ayex@VERT/BYTEXCHG to All on Sun Nov 27 20:10:03 2016
    All,

How can I change my local telnet port to something like 8888? I can change it, but then I cannot login using the BBS->Local login option. If I change it back to 23, it logs in fine.

Is there a file that dictates where I am logging into/port?

    Thanks,

    -Ayex

First, this is the wrong message area for Synchronet support questions. See http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:support for details on that.

Secondly, the local login command-line is configurable in SBBSCTRL:File->Properties->Settings->Login Command.

Sorry, I apologize for putting it in the wrong area.

I don't now about the bbs software, and maybe this is a dumb question/point to make, but is that port open on your firewall? (I am a linux man, and linux auto blocks certain ports)...??

Yea, its open. And I got it working. You can open any ports in linux to, just have to alter services file and maybe local firewall rules.
