Has anyone got into Fear the Walking Dead?

It's called a prequel to TWD, so I assumed that the show was going to explain the science behind what caused the outbreak; like maybe a human had relations with a dead person, and then, voila!

But no, nothing like that so far. The events predate the events of TWD, but there's no explanation yet. It seems like this show is just more shit to
watch in case you haven't wasted enough of your life watching TWD.

I still love it all though. It was cool to see the "walkers" as "swimmers."

Not really. Tried to, but don't like the characters as much as TWD.

I like the fact that they don't know -- I'm sure we'd be stumped at any pandemic and information would be hard to come by.

They are not as interesting, and as you learn more about them, the more generic, and unrealistic they become.

if they explained it that would give away some of what makes it interesting. also does it really matter?

i just read that audiences will never learn exactly what caused the outbreak of the virus.

I think I'd still enjoy it just as much even if they explained the cause.

It matters to huge fans. If I knew the cause, then I'd be set up to expect certain things to happen.

But maybe it's better that way.. Maybe it will teach people not to abuse corpses, not to do meth, etc.

everyone nowadays is used to be given what they want. every movie has a happy ending. it's expected. it's good to not get what is expected sometimes because it makes stuff more interesting.

regarding the show you already know it's a virus and that everyone has it.

if things start to get worse for the show they can always explain what happened and go after the person or company responsible or some type of plot line like that.

it's the ace in the hole.
